UK: 91% of winter barley and 15% of spring barley harvested by August 02/2006

ADAS 2006/07 UK harvest reports put over 91% (95%) of winter barley, 15% (1% last season) of spring barley as harvested by August 2nd, Home-Grown Cereals Authority released August 07.

The harvest progressed steadily in the seven days up to August 2nd, although rains in the second half of last week are believed to have disrupted activity in some areas. Reports suggest winter barley yields ranged average to slightly-above-average in most areas.
